I’m just starting out, and I’m wondering if I should be practicing equal-tempered, just, or Pythagorean intonation when I’m practicing.

Currently, I’m setting two drones as an interval. Then I practice moving between them consistently. I can set these at precise frequencies, so I’m wondering if there is a common consensus around what temperament you should be practicing with.

(Right now I just do the intervals off of 440 A, so I can practice just intonation while being equally tempered. But I hope to move on from this soon.)

Probably just years of hearing it, but anything other than equal temperament sounds off to me.  And the Theremin is so generally unmoored pitch-wise that I'm not sure if I'd be able to detect a player trying to adhere to an alternate temperament.
