Power cord needed?

Just dug this out of my storage. I can't find the power cord. Does it somehow plug into the 5-pin? Where can I get one?

Do I use a 1/4" guitar plug from the Theremin to my amp?

I also have a Peavy amp, think it is for a guitar.

Tag on back states "Moog Music Inc, Asheville NC, Etherwave Theremin, serial number 10086"

Front panel shows.

What you need is the power adapter that has the special connector.  This is the 110v version:

These are sometimes available from other sources for less, but right now they seem a little harder to find.  You could also try call Moog Music directly.  The 220v version seems to be commanding higher prices.

And yes, you connect the audio output of the theremin to an amp using a cable with 1/4" phone plugs on each end.  An electric guitar amp can be made to work but the sound would be better with an acoustic guitar amp or keyboard amp.

Thank you. I will order this one!

Is instrumentalparts.com actually still selling Moog parts?  It looks to me like they are all non-orderable now.

B&H also shows the power supply as "discontinued": https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1010635-REG/moog_trn_01_000_0001_etherwave_standard_power_supply.html

If Moog is not selling them directly, you could wait for a used PS to turn up on eBay, Reverb, etc.

Or you could take a generic power supply (14VAC, preferably grounded) and put a DIN-5 plug on it (note, does not need to be a 3 pin DIN-5 as Moog used).

If you don't feel up to doing this yourself, any competent repair shop could handle it.

I found and ordered a proper power supply from Vintage Kings. About $26. It is on the way! I think I was lucky to find one!

That's the one, and it's a good price!
