Some of the more obvious defects on the case look like they came from the factory, like that big furrow on the back of the faceplate and the chattered countersinks for the screws.  The woodwork in general is a little cruder than I would have expected.

Looks like you could maybe use the rear vent as a handle?  I wonder if your fingers would hit anything vital.

The larger metal knobs look kinda like those you can find on guitars.
