Amazing what I found looking for the best way to connect my analog theremin to some MIDI in:

"The Theremin-X Project imagines a small concert in which a theremin is hooked up to vibrators worn by audience members, with the pitch, volume, and intensity of the music translated directly into vibration."

And they did it:

"The piece features Armen Ra on the theremin, with Casey Calvert, Lance Hart, and Ella Nova playing the audience members."

The video must be safe for work.

I have mention before at TW that my volume control method PWM has the ability to control the intensity of a flood light shining on the performer. What you bring up might be a great motivator to get newbies to practice more. I will add that to my features list.
