Good songs for looping pedals and theremin

I got a great deal on a used Boss RC-30 looping pedal recently, and I've been noodling around with it and my Etherwave.  I'll post some SoundClouds once I've had a chance to get to know the pedal better.

I'm curious to hear what songs you've tried with loopers & theremin?  

So far, I'm finding it run to lay down a bass line by overdubbing a single note at a time. The great thing about the RC-30 is that while the phrase is looping, you can find the next note to record, get your timing right, and then tap the pedal to start/stop recording around the note. This works great for setting up pre-recorded phrases, but I haven't worked out the timing & technique yet to be able to do it "live" as a single performance in a musical-sounding way ;)

It also has some built-in effects and rhythm tracks, but they're pretty basic. You can connect it to a computer via usb and upload your own .wav files though, so the possibilities for using it as accompaniment during live performances are virtually endless. 

I’ve had an RC-30 for a month or so but sadly have not had much of an opportunity to play with it.

I have been trying to put down a bass line, say, and then play over it. That is quite good fun.

I’ve also been trying to play significantly longer pieces to play on top of and have been successful up to a point.
Coalport mentioned in another thread that doing this can be difficult and problematic since there is the great likelihood that pitch-shift will mean that the end pitch will not be the same as the starting one so that when it loops, the join will be obvious.

Never-the-less, still great fun to play with and after some time I am sure it will add to the repertoire.

I wonder if there is potential to upload ‘backing tracks’ via USB to the RC-30 which would be easily switched on and off with foot control.

One thing that I did notice was that the pedal activates on the ‘release’ and not the ‘press’ which might feel a wee bit weird when laying down tacks to play over live.
There is a way to reverse this but it seems somehow to impact on other pedal features: features which I am as yet unsure about. Like I say, I’ve not had as much time with it as I would have liked to have!
