I have a B3 Deluxe, and have recently received a recommended power supply for it.
I wanted to know if it is normal that the theremin make noises as soon as the power is on, when I'm 5 meters away from it?

Okay, I think I've figured out that the tuning knob has to be adjusted to how far you're standing from the theremin.
The problem with that is that the instrument does not seem very sensitive to small hand gestures.
I obviously need lessons.

Your post is fine but Theremin World is limited these days with people that might help. Hang in there and someone may come around. Enjoy the learning curve as one day you will master it.
