She got me a Spirit by Steinberger headless retro 80's bass. It's black and will go perfectly with my Etherwave Standard at gigs.
It's also a little less fragile than the 40-year-old Hofner Beatle bass I usually gig with.
I have spent most of the morning playing it, much to the dismay of my neighbors I am sure.
