OT: fighting spam

I've been getting a ton of spam lately on the news submissions and a bit on the forums as well.

So now both news submissions and forum posts now log the IP address of the poster. This information is never made available to anyone but me and is used solely for spam-fighting purposes.

I just want to let everyone know of this change rather than hide it.
