Does anyone know where I can get top plates from for connecting my Theremax to a mic stand vertical? I tried Sam Ash but they don't have anything like it.

Also does anyone know where the Moog guys source those neat antenna connectors? My buddy John has an Etherwave, and I love those chromed screw in connectors...

I'd like to give my Theremax a face lift.

I think you are probably better off trying to use speaker stand mounts. Those you can find from places like MCM Electronics or local music stores.

Another possibility might be to look for a desk mount gooseneck mic stand like those used at restaurants and remove the base from it.

Here's just the base, but the vendor is in the UK:

MCM, Guitar Center and Musician's Friend websites were a bust, but you could just print out the picture in maplin page above and take it to your local store to show them what you are looking for.

You might want to try Atlas Sound (http://www.atlassound.com/ProductCategory.aspx?id=1491&pI=1490).

You'll have to find a distributor on the Contact Page (http://www.atlassound.com/Contact.aspx), since they apparently don't sell direct.

Why don't you open your City or Regional phone book and look for the local Combo Musical Instrument Shop? The one that sells guitars, basses amps amd sound support equipment. I am sure they would appreciate the business.
A 'Mic', or 'Goose-neck' connector is not that rare!

Regarding microphone fittings, you will find the one he needs is not readily available.

The ones you will find on the shelf are male fittings that a microphone would screw "on to". What he needs is the female fitting.

If he's looking for speaker stand fittings, you may be correct. I agree one should support local businesses whenever possible.

Thanks for all the useful replies.

I will pursue the Atlas link, it looks like they may well have what I need.
