Antennae field

What kind of field is the antennae making when the theremin is on. Can this be seen, as in taking a photo

Most Theremins generate a weak radio frequency field around the antennae. Radio frequencies have a much longer wavelength than visible light so you can't see them. Your hands act as capacitors and electronically change the frequency or volume.
