You guys are quick! I only got confirmation of the event in my email a few minutes ago, and came to announce it! ;-)
Yes, I have taken on another distraction from my primary objective (getting my Theremins on the market).. Nick played my SkyWave H1 Theremins at the Southbank Ether 2010 event - He usually plays the EW-standard, but approached me at the event tentatively enquiring about obtaining a SkyWave Theremin for this (then in early stage of planning) London Bridge event.
Nick Franglen says he wanted a SkyWave because:
”I so much preferred the 'feel' and sound of your theremins at the South Bank to mine, so to have that available to me would be wonderful. I'd far prefer to play one of your theremins than the Moog one I have.”
Alas, my new (latest) Theremin will not be ready for this event – I am hoping to have the IC’s and boards for this in time to launch in November, hopefully. The Theremin for Nick consists of an H1 pitch board, a prototype volume (+ some extras) board (part of my new Theremin Development) and an additional inbuilt ‘slave’ bass tone generator.
As for the “sound-beam” .. Your posting above is the first time I have heard of this aspect of the performance.
One final thing.. www.streetkidsrescue.org desperately needs to raise money for a little girl (3 year old Suon Kimsean) who needs major cardiac surgery within the next 9 months or she will die. I want to do whatever I can to make people aware of Suon’s plight, and raise money towards the £10k-£30k required for her surgery.. One Idea I have is to put the Theremin I am building for Nick (Nick is doing his event for charity, and I am building the Theremin for this event – but I still own the Theremin) on auction for Suon’s treatment, after the London Bridge event..
Until such an auction starts, the first person to make a donation to www.streetkidsrescue.org for £1000 or more, with "Theremin for Suon Kimsean fund" in the comments, will get this Theremin (it will be sent to you before 14th September, after the London Bridge event) .. But please email me before you do this, so that I can remove this offer and advise anyone else that it has been assigned. fred [at] fundes [dot] co [dot] uk
Fred.
P.S. I am not sure that you will be able to play this Theremin at the event (.. I have had no discussion with regard to public interaction - it may be that the public can play it, but I have not been informed of this) .. In fact, I have little to do with the event except for building the Theremin.. Sadly, I will not even be able to be there :-( .. The timing was landed on me less than a week ago, and I will be in the middle of a weeks camping holiday in Cornwall with the family.. A commitment I cant, and have no wish to get out off.

3 Year Old Suon Kimsean Has a Death Sentence
This little Cambodian girl who is currently staying in one of our orphanages suffers from a life threatening heart condition which cannot be treated locally.
She needs surgery within 9 months to save her.
As soon as we can arrange a passport, we will send her to Bangkok for specialist assessment. A major operation will be needed - either there, in Australia or the UK.
The costs are expected to be between £10,000 and £30,000.
Most of our funds are already allocated to projects - including a clinic and a home for disabled children.
PLEASE HELP. You can help save Suon Kimsean by donating.

I dislocated my shoulder and injured my thumb, and at the moment am not even able to hold a pen.. so building the Theremin has come to a stop - Hoping a few days of rest will be enough, but with only a week left to complete the job, and with all the mechanical stuff (drilling the panel, constructing the box and antenna etc) yet to be done, the chance of meeting the deadline is small.
Nick has been extremely understanding and supportive - I am bitterly dissapointed, but we are discussing perhaps having another event at some future time.
Fred.
That performance video was very interesting.
Clever camerawork at the end as it pans down the antenna (conveniently showing all of Fred's contact details).
