Etherwave Pro "ghost pitch"/sound leakage issue

Hi all (and Thierry),

I recently acquired an Etherwave Pro with Thierry's EPVM module. I'm experiencing a persistent issue: When the theremin is not on standby and volume loop is muted, there is still a "ghost pitch"--a pitch an octave or two higher than the actual pitch, depending on the register--that is audible even when mixer volume and gain are not too high. This ghost pitch becomes increasingly audible as I move my hand closer to the pitch antenna.

Carolina Eyck said that some sound leakage is normal but that mine is louder than typical. I'm afraid that during actual performances, in which volume needs to be cranked up a notch, the ghost pitch will be even more audible and distracting. Can anyone diagnose and fix this?

Also, the EPVM module came loose during shipping and the pins were bent, so the theremin made no sound at first--except for the ghost pitch, which was present even before I had the pins straightened and reinstalled the module.

The IEC cable that the theremin came with had a torn sheath on one end, exposing the wires inside. But I've changed the cable and the ghost pitch issue persists.
