robonil, I know that name well. My own "original design" can mount in the twin towers or the original EWS wood box.
20 years ago I was RS Theremin and 10 years ago the bit shifters told me I was wasting my time with my two weekend analog theremin build. Well last Christmas something told me to come out of retirement and show what my approach could produce. Today my final build rests in St Petersburg, Russia with the Theremin Family for the 2020 celebration.
The theremin journey reveals 10,000 ways a theremin will not work properly, this is the fun part, then the stubborn will go down rabbit holes to never return.

I always ask myself where did theremin design go off the rails. The only thing I can think of is a new generation that wants everything cheap but why make pennies on something with little demand? I post my work periodically because one day a budding electronic enthusiast will realize this project is $100 in parts and he could sell it easily for $1000 and everyone will be very happy. What you can't experience from one sound byte is how dynamic with adjustable control the volume control is, it adds a new dimension.
