Hi Christina. I see you're in Phoenix. I'm from there, though I'm in London for a while.
The cabinet without the electronics is fairly light. I'd guess about about 25 to 30 pounds. With the electronics I'd say about 70 to 90 pounds.
Curious why you need this information.

I must admit, I sure would like to know, because if I ever decide to tour with something that looks like an RCA, I'd want to know if it's going to be too much trouble.
Knowing that an authentic replica, or the real thing is this heavy certainly is enough to make me reconsider. I'd probably want to construct a very light replica that would use modern conventional electronics, and double as gear stowage inside for gigs.
I remember helping Phil move his replica at Ethermusic 2k8, and I can tell you, it felt every bit of 75 plus pounds.

Much appreciated. I'm planning an exhibit to include one, and neded to know some basic design information for the platform design. Thanks!
Thomas, I did see a vintage RCA travel version in my surfings, for which the legs screwed off, though the weight may not have been any lighter. The current models are far more travel friendly!

Hi Gordon. Thanks for the photo link. did you see the glass armonica in the lower left?
I could use one of those carts for the travelcase theremin. AS it is, I'm using a projector table which makes the instrument look like a back-yard grill according to a friend who saw me play it over skype. ;)

Its actually a small table top barrel organ.
On top of the weight of the RCA case and general electronics, there is also the factor that there are glass valves inside the cabinet, so if you use a trolley, make sure it's stable.
Musiare used the trolley to get on and off stage quickly, I guess because time is money and if he could do more than one show per day/evening, he could earn more. He also has the amplifier and speaker underneath, which adds to the overall weight of his kit.
So a trolley would make him and his equipment quite suitable for touring - which he did!
