help needed!!

i have just finnished building the minimum theremin and followed the instructions exactly, but it doesnt work! there is no sound from it! the wiring is right, and the chips are getting voltage. any clues?

Would you post a link to the schematic?

What kind of test equipment do you have? Hopefully you have at least a volt-ohm meter. For starters, make sure the power supply is working.
