Etherwave Connection/Amp Help

Hello All,

I’ve been considering purchasing the Moog Etherwave Standard but I have a few concerns about connections and amplifiers, I was wonder if anyone would be able to tell me if the following would work;

Etherwave to;

Welcome to TW!

You'll only have a 1/4" mono line level audio out.
I'd avoid use of stereo cables with any Moog theremin, they do not connect fully and in the EWPro causes the mute switch to leak.

You should be able to use an adapter on the 1/4" mono cable to connect to most any amp or powered speaker. When I first got mine I used a hand-me-down set of powered computer speakers.
I've gradually been upgrading the amp and now use a Roland 12".

For other amp options try the search page too, there's been a lot of thoughts posted in the past about folks' choices.

For headphone amps I swear by headroom and use one attached to the side of my theremin for the pitch preview feed.

The Fender 25b (http://www.soundexchange2.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=597) bass practice amp has always been my favourite Theremin amp... essentially you'll want something that sounds nice that you can listen to with clarity and doesn't colour the sound too much. Headphones tend to be a bit claustrophobic and sound all wrong, to me at least.

I was considering using the PA2V2 as it’s currently on loan to a friend as I have no use for it, so I thought I would put it to good use.
